Diptych and triptych

Triptych is a work of art consisting of three bas-reliefs, paintings or photographs, united by a common idea or plot. A sort of serial shooting, only in slightly different scales and forms. Diptych- the same as a triptych, only with two, rather than three, elements.

In photography, diptychs and triptychs are a desirable form for self-expression, especially since, unlike painting, there are an order of magnitude fewer purely physical and temporary problems with their creation...

The main purpose of using a diptych or triptych in photography is storytelling, telling a small story. Individual frames may get lost, mixed up, and the observer will be put off by the need to flip through them. Everything is simple and clear - everything you need is nearby.

The easiest way to create a diptrich is by cropping and scaling. The first frame sets the story, the second is a crop and zoom of the first - it focuses attention on the details. Together they make up a complete story.

Every diptrich must have a plot.

Shots shot in high speed are perfect for a triptych - pure dynamics, a real film effect.

Experiment with defocus. Shifting focus from subject to subject will create an idea - take advantage of this.

This is the genre of triptych photography. This is a very rare and quite unusual genre, undeservedly abandoned and abandoned by modern photographers. But diptychs and triptychs have enormous creative potential!
